5 minutes with…Ragdoll Photography

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

This morning I thought we’d take 5 with the lovely lass Shirin from Ragdoll Photography. Shirin has been behind the lense for our latest photoshoot!

What inspires you to get out of bed in the mornings?

Most mornings, its my two noisy kids but some days, it is the possibility that this little head of mind would conjure up a superb idea for a photoshoot.

What was the last photo you took?

Its the photo of Lakita, a dancer with dreadlocks and a beautiful soul.

What is your favourite photo?

Its a photo I took of my best friend, Mardy at an abandon train tracks in Singapore in 2005. We scouted around for these traintracks and it was one of the most fun times we ever had.
I had just gotten my first proper DSLR and it was pouring but that didn’t stop us from getting some great shots and most importantly, we had the best time.

Ragdoll Photography. How/why’d you start it?

I’ve always had this fascination for ragdolls and my past has somewhat  made me feel like a ragdoll. Being in the media industry made me realise that photography is what I wanted to do and thus, Radgoll Photography came about.

Five words to describe yourself.

Quirky, Muse Freak, Shy, Warm and Underrated!!
