What inspires you to get out of bed in the morning?
The pursuit of happiness.
What was the last shoot you styled?
I assisted on the men’s shoot for the latest X-Press Fashion Magazine – Altitude. Check it out.
What is your favourite vintage piece?
I am a sucker for vintage accessories so it is hard to choose. I love costume jewellery, necklaces, bangles, earrings, tings and sunglasses – oh how i love sunglasses! My favourite thing right now though would have to be a gorgeous vintage clutch which was passed down to me recently, it is simply beautiful, rich black velvet with a delicate gold clasp. I definately recommend bringing a velvet piece into your wardrobe this year.
Fall Victim To Fashion. How and why did you start your blog?
I had been studying fashion design at WAIFT for awhile but my true passion lies in fashion media. I was lucky enough to cross paths with Emma from Dropstitch who has been a fantastic mentor and inspiration and this led to FVTF. So far its been a lot of fun sharing with everyone a slice of my fashion pie.
Five words to describe yourself.
Dreamer, creative, honest, accessorised, awesome (occasionally).

I have a litte tip for you. The Karrikesh. A new holiday accomodation in Karridale. It’ll make you feel like a princess from Marrakesh in no time! Originally a church, it has been re-born as an open living plan space featuring its own kitchen, two bedrooms with queen beds, a verandah overlooking natural bush and a daybed on the deck. Perfect for that luxury weekend getaway!

Vintage in Tokyo

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

Recently I headed to Japan for a holiday with my love Benjamin.

So, naturally whilst in Tokyo I thought I’d see if  I could find some vintage. Unfortunately I didn’t find anything for the shop but plenty pour moi! Here are my tips for you if you’re heading that way…

Harajuku, Tokyo. Awesome place. Great for the shopper! I had heard of two main shops here. Finding them seemed to be determind by what tube stop you get off at but ask any of the locals. They’ll fall over trying to help you out! Spend the day at Harajuku. There really is that much to see and eat and do!

There are two massive ones right on top of each other. One called Kinji and the other called Hanjiro. Kinji is at basement level and Hanjiro on the first floor.

Kinji

Hanjiro

I also dragged my Ben out to a place called Shimo-kitazawa which is a University student area with vintage shops a plenty!
